details of communication

A couple weeks ago, very late at night, after an important conversation with my roommates, we all took a "languages of love" test. I don't know how accurate it is, but I did like learning about the different ways we communicate. One way that I like to SHOW affection is with gifts. In all the time I spend online - which, by the way, is way way too much time - I find a lot of things I want to purchase just so I can give them to my friends. In the meantime, I have about a billion things under the "gifts" category in my bookmarks toolbar. Since I haven't posted in a billion years and this is a quick and easy post, I'm just going to include some of the things I found this morning.

1. I think books make great gifts because they can be revisited and shared with lots of people. So...When my friends start having babies:
Milk It by Kate Hodson

2. I like cool entertainment/decoration stuff. So I like to believe my friends like it too. So...When my friends start needing housewarming presents:
white ruffle compotes from Farmhouse Wares

3. I think food gifts = the best gifts in all of time. So...For friends with summer birthdays:
homemade blowpops from Urban

  1. Cool stuff! I love "window" shopping . . .

  3. funny. i've taken that test, the languages of love one. and i made fun of the gift language. silly, that you are one. i was the spending time with language, just so you know.

  4. i love that book and the test and the whole concept really. it is quite intriguing if you look at people's relationships and then think of their love language. Its one of those things I like to analyze.

looking forward to seeing you this weekend.
