To LaGuardia Airport,

Maybe you remember when I came to see you last month. I (by myself) navigated my(lonesome)self through the NY subway (alone) to be with you when Cary landed. I was terrified that I would get lost somewhere between the 23rd Street station and your main terminal, but I made it. I was so excited to see him; I don’t think I’ve ever been that excited for anything. And when I stepped off the bus, there he was, running towards me. And then I was laughing and crying my way through an absolutely perfect flood of happiness. Taking the M60 back into the city was probably the happiest moment of my life. Maybe you remember all that, maybe you don’t, but I remember.

I love remembering that.

  1. what a moment! its moments like that when i wish i had someway to have captured the moment on film so i could see it happening, outside myself. ya know what i'm sayin?

2.'re not settling for Claire's this time, are ya!

  3. hi.
i've never met you. i'm macKenzie's roommate (and essentially derrick's, since he's over so much).
anyway, i just wanted to say that i think your blog is charming. i check in every once and awhile and from what i've read and what macKenzie has told me, it's easy to see that you're pretty great.
also, this little letter almost made me cry. it was so perfect.

  4. For what it's worth, La Guardia is awesome.
