To my future children:

this is my outline for one of our past assignments. I took up two entire dry erase boards in addition to this one. These things are kind of intense.
I get my midterm for legal writing today. To me, this midterm carries about as much comedic material as genocide - so I'll pass on the hilarity of my weekend situation, and just share with you what my legal writing professor said in Wednesday's class. After helping us prioritize our research, writing, and editing schedule, she said, "You will have freak out moments. Own it. Really freak out. Just remember that it’s going to be okay." I'm a worrier. I stress out about absolutely everything, but I'm trying to be better. I hope by the time you show up and start needing advice like this, I'll able to give it and have us both believe me. If not, I'd like to be able to say, "Baby - I love you - go talk to your father."

  1. One of my all-time favorite posts.

Don't worry Britt I have been having freak out moments myself and not over anything as important as this midterm is for you. At least you have a reason.
In the end we're all ok.

  2. Thanks for the laugh. I don't think parenthood will be harder than what you're already doing :) And good luck with your midterms! You'll do wonderfully because you know this stuff. Best of luck!

  3. Oh, I love this. Maybe being a worrier means you'll be a good parent. But being a lawyer will DEFINITELY make you a good parent. Out-argue those kids!

  4. "I don't know, go ask your dad." My kids hear that too much :)

  5. oh we are one in the same. good luck with your midterm! and i like the new layout. very streamlined and classy.

I try to respond to comments if I have your email :)
