To the People Who Love Me -

Today in Property, Professor Kaswan asked Curtis, “What might you be feeling, if you had any feelings left in your second semester of law school?” At first, I didn’t think this was a problem for me since I broke into tears in Professor Magee’s office over one of Justice Posner’s more callused economic observations. But, in a way, Professor Kaswan is spot on; some of the strongest emotions in my second semester concern “particular notions of personal jurisdiction.” But while we all laughed at her joke, I distinctly remembered my very first day of law school, frantically taking notes while Professor Vu said, “Be nice to the people who love you. Stay connected to the world outside. Be yourself – don’t let your first year of law school take over your personality. Consume everything, but don’t be consumed. Be nice to the people who love you.

So I know I should have said this before, but I love you too. Thank you for letting me know we're still friends, that you'll be there for me. Thank you for taking care of me. Thank you for believing in me. I miss you. I hope you’re well. Thank you for helping me get to where I am today. I couldn’t have done it without you.

  1. I love you, Britt. You're an amazing & inspiring woman!

  2. I love the picture with this post - showing friendship and relationships in action.
