to my family

this is what I did this afternoon after you all left. It was a melodramatic and thinly veiled attempt to not outline property.

60 minutes avoiding sadness
6 minutes of indecision (followed by the wrong decision)
52 minutes fearing failure, postponing beginnings.
14 minutes of anxiously dreading the imagined future
7 minutes of unnecessary panic
50 minutes of partial consciousness
32 minutes of restlessness and regret
6 minutes of hesitation and doubt
38 minutes of doing nothing important at all
32 minutes making impossible plans
38 minutes of worry without action
11 minutes waiting to be told what to do
18 minutes of dreading the inevitable
3 minutes of arguing for a lost cause
20 minutes avoiding an unpleasant task with dread
3 minutes searching for reassurance
27 minutes of ignored reminders
45 minutes wishing I was someplace else
