Dear Idaho,

When I was taking my property test, quite by accident I discovered that my “happy place” is in Ammon, Idaho. I was a little surprised, to be honest, but tonight spring was in full bloom and I remembered why I could endlessly savor these nights. My dad and I headed out to the garden to pick some rhubarb, and just being around the trees in my backyard is debilitating; the air around the thousands of lush apple blossoms is intoxicating. This smell is second only to the long-awaited rhubarb raspberry pies baking in the oven right now.

  1. I've never had rhubarb pie, but you suuuuuuuuure make it sound good! And I'm CRAZY about apple blossoms! They're gorgeous. And I miss you immensely.

  2. My brother-in-law made a rhubarb pie two weeks ago from the rhubarb in my parents garden. It was talked about nonstop last weekend as I visited.

Between that and your post, I don't think I can go another week without rhubarb pie.

  3. I am not surprised that Idaho would equal happy place. Not at all.

  4. I'm sitting on my parents' porch in Idaho, its a decent place I guess
